• May only be issued to an adult and are issued on a first come, first-reserved basis
• Are not issued on holidays or observed holidays
• Are only issued to the person requesting the appointment
• Require proof of residency in the City of Orange (if applicable)
• Require that permit fees and deposits are due at the time the permit is issued
• May be issued up to 3 months in advance (except the Senior Center, which may be reserved up to one year in advance)
• Are issued to one user or group per month. Requests for longer use are subject to special consideration and depend on availability and demand
• Non-residents are welcome to reserve park spaces and facilities, however non-resident permit rates will apply
• Additional permit costs may apply depending on event details such as jumper, caterer or taco cart, party equipment, etc.
• An at-cost kitchen cleaning fee will be charged for use of the kitchens at the Olive and Shaffer facilities
• Groups of 24 or less do not need a park permit, unless they wish to reserve a specific park pavilion or plan to have a jumper and/or caterer/taco cart

Permits may take up to 40 minutes to issue. You can save time during the permit process by printing the Permit Application and Deposit Form at home. Bring your completed paperwork along with the proof of residency (if applicable) and permit payment to your appointment.

Hart Park Bandshell

• Groups who wish to use the Hart Park Bandshell must complete a Hart Park Bandshell Permit Application
• The Park Bandshell is reservable between the hours of 12 noon - 5 pm Monday - Sunday (excluding holidays and observed holidays)

Special Events in the Park

• Events with 201 or more guests—or are not a standard park reservation—require completion of a Special Event Permit Application
• Special Events require a minimum notice of 30 days prior to the planned event

• Permit cancellations must be submitted in writing to csfrontcounter@cityoforange.org by the permit holder prior to the event date
• Please refer to your permit for applicable fees
• Approved permit refunds may take up to 6 weeks to receive

• The City of Orange does not refund permit fees for inclement weather cancellations
• Permit holders may reschedule their reservation for another date
• Permit rescheduling due to inclement weather must be at the request of the permit holder to the Community Services Department within 24-hours of the cancellation
• Rescheduled dates are dependent upon availability and may only be reserved up to three months in advance

The Sports Center at Grijalva Park is a state-of-the-art, energy efficient, 26,200 square-foot facility. Features include a dance room with a wood floor, ballet barres and mirror walls, a large multipurpose room, a spacious gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts, and plenty of fan seating.
